Chelsi Hollingshead,
FPMHNP-B.C.
Hello! My name is Chelsi Hollingshead, I am a board certified Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC. My many years of experience working in multiple psychiatric settings including: outpatient, acute inpatient, emergency room, and residential treatment enables me with the expertise to offer effective and individualized outpatient psychiatric care. I diagnose and treat a number of mental health disorders ranging from early stages to follow-up and continued care after crisis.
I specialize in child, adolescent and family mental health services; focusing on integrating an understanding of the many aspects of a persons' emotional, physical, social and spiritual experiences, that influence personal health and well being. I offer diagnostic evaluations and medication management, while strongly encouraging therapies and behaviors that augment the benefits of any medications prescribed.
Our initial visit will encompass a detailed, 1:1 intake interview, reviewing history provided from your completed intake packet. Responses to questionnaires and personal input during our first meeting will bring a collaborative discussion about the ways your health is being affected and how I can target these priority areas with prescribed medicines or recommendations.
My goal is to be flexible in learning and understanding your situations and circumstances to better ensure your needs are met appropriately.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. With suicide on the constant rise in the United States, it's never too soon to seek help. Through psychiatric treatment and therapy, you can find relief and recover the motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you manage these symptoms and guide you in the right direction to process your grief and find healing.
Medication may or may not be the answer to solving your struggles. We will explore different options catered to your specific need. What works for one person doesn't always work for another; together, after a comprehensive review of your health history and symptoms, we will establish a regimen for your specific needs, if we find medication necessary.
